Episode 243 of the Grow Clinton Podcast highlights one of the community’s favorite summer traditions—Finally Friday! Andy and Jenny sit down with Lori, Susie, and Barb Jacobsen of the Finally Friday Board of Directors to talk about what makes this event such a staple in Clinton and why it continues to bring people together year after year.
Finally Friday takes place on the first Friday of June, July, and August from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., offering a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere along the riverfront. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and settle in for an evening of live music, great food, and refreshing beverages.
Please note that outside coolers are not permitted, as a variety of food and drink options are available for purchase on-site. Admission is by donation, making it an accessible event for everyone in the community.
Lori and Barb share the behind-the-scenes work that goes into organizing Finally Friday, how the event has evolved, and its impact on local businesses, tourism, and community pride.
